A partnership approach

We place a great deal of importance on the partnership that exists between the home and the school in the education of your child. We strongly believe your child’s education is a co-operative effort.

Cashmere Avenue School encourages the participation of parents in all the daily activities and planning of the longer term objectives of the school.

Opportunities for parent involvement range from governance (Board of Trustees), fundraising and social events (Home and School Association), cultural events (Whanau group) through to constructive participation in the education of your child. This can be both formally and informally with teaching staff and in assisting with homework assignments.

A close communication between parents and teachers is seen as the best method of sharing information and monitoring a child’s progress and development.
