Term 1

In Room 18 we are building up our knowledge of bridges so we can successfully design and build a new bridge to cross the  Avon River in Christchurch.  In our first bridge challenge the children had $100 to spend at Bob's building supplies.  Materials available to purchase included paper ($10 a sheet), sellotape  ($10 for 10cm) or paperclips (S3 each).  In teams of 4, children had 30 minutes to construct their bridge before it was tested  with a toy car.
