Cashmere Avenue School

A Spirit of Contribution
We cater for children from 5 years to 11 years old (School year 0 – 6). This allows us to get to know your child well over the six years of their life we share with them. After this time, your child will move on to an Intermediate School to continue their education.

Student Council
Students at Cashmere Avenue School are encouraged to contribute to the school as soon as they begin here. 

We have a Student Council, consisting of two class representatives from each class which meets regularly. The Student Council shares and discusses ideas from the pupils about such matters as playground equipment, theme days and behaviour. It is a forum for pupils to participate in the school’s organisation and management.

Student Leadership
As well as the Student Council, we encourage pupils to take leadership roles in a variety of ways, including:

assembly organisation and presentation
lunchtime “Fun” sports
a buddy system between older and younger classes for curriculum and social skills
library monitors
