Applications for Term 3 and Term 4 2026 will open on Wednesday 18 March and close at 5pm on Friday 8 May.

We have a new entrant information session on Thursday 26 March at 9am in the staffroom.  
 
Linda, Korimako Team Leader, will offer you information on school today, about Cashmere Avenue School and about how to select a School for your child.  This session is aimed at parents who are either out of zone and looking at options or for parents in zone who have not yet decided what School to send their child to.  After the session there is a tour of the school by our student councillors for those who wish to look around. 

Students who live in the home zone are entitled to enrol at the school.

Is there an enrolment zone?
Yes. At this time we are only able to take enrolments from students who will be living in the school zone when they start at our school. We accept pre enrolments throughout the year from new students who live or are considering moving into our school home zone. 
When can my child start school?
Children starting school for the first time can start school on their 5th birthday, or any school day afterwards. Legally children must be enrolled at school by age 6 years.
Children transferring from other schools can start school as soon as they are living in the school zone. If a family has shifted from another area or arrived after a period of travelling, parents may reasonably choose for their child to have a few days off between schools. If a child is transferring from a nearby school, parents will often choose to start their child at the beginning of a term. In all cases we are happy to work with you to support a positive transition for your child.
Can I visit the school?
Yes, we'd love you to! We have some very keen student councillors who love showing people around the school, sharing their views and experiences. Our friendly office staff can help you out with your queries, and our principal would be happy to meet you. If possible, it is best to contact the school to arrange a suitable time.
Can my child have 'school visits'?
For students starting school for the first time, we like them to have school visits before they start school. Most students have two visits, and these are usually on Friday mornings from 9.30-11.00am. For children who will be starting school in the first few weeks of the school year we have one longer school visit at the end of the year.  If you are pre-enrolled (see form above), you will be sent an invite in the month before the visits are scheduled.  
For students transferring from other schools we are happy to arrange a visit, mornings are best and can be scheduled before they start school. 
Sometimes a child may have special needs.  If this is the case, please let us know as soon as possible as we may need to work with preschools and other supporting agencies to make a transition plan that best suits them.  We will also need to know so we can have programmes in place to best support their learning.

Enrolling your Child

To enrol your child we require copies of your child's NZ passport or birth certificate, immunisation certificate (if immunised) and any visa documentation (if applicable).  To enrol your child and provide all the relevant documentation please fill in our online enrolment form.

Short Stay Overseas Enrolments
We are unable to accept international short stay students.  We are only able to enrol students who are either a NZ Resident or on a Student Visa.
